In the world of commodities product needs to get from point A to point B. That’s why it’s important to have a reliable and easy to use transportation management feature when shipping your inbound and outbound products.

Right out of the box Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations provides robust transportation management features. Levridge has extended these features to work with our commodity package to allow for easy setup of point-to-point freight rating and additional charges per shipping carrier and carrier service.

Rates

Freight rates can be setup to charge per load or unit of weight.

Easily set up freight rates to and from addresses with existing customer, vendor, or warehouse addresses. Users can also manually enter addresses if needed.

Finally enter the rate amount. Once this is completed this rate can immediately be utilized for freight invoicing.

Additional charges

Need to add additional charges to go along with the transportation rates? This is no problem as a user can easily create one or more additional charges by load or percent of total rate.

Once the freight rates and additional charges have been setup they can then utilized when processing inbound and outbound scale tickets. To utilize the rates, we just need to assign the carrier and carrier service to any scale ticket with the proper delivery terms. When the scale ticket is saved it will generate a freight invoice for that scale ticket. We know that things can change and mistakes happen with weight, addresses, carriers, etc… Not to worry, with our automatic freight recalculation it’s easy to make changes to a scale ticket and see these changes reflected in the freight invoicing immediately. However, if any portion of a freight invoice has been reconciled against the automatic recalculation of the freight invoice will not occur.

There it is: a simplified solution for entry of point to point rates and additional charges per carrier and carrier service.
